These features are common to almost all the slot machines you will ever find, they are the basics of slots all over the world:

Payoff chart: The slot machine is programmed to pay a certain amount of coins for several winning combinations of symbols. This chart tells you how many coins you will get when the various combinations appear on the pay line.

The Reels: Most machines have three reels, but you will find other special macines here and there. There are machines with two reels and four reels (such as the big berthas which often have four huge reels), and you might also see the new "diamond" machines. In these "diamond" machines you win each time the proper symbol appears in the diamond shape on the face of the machine.

The symbols: There are many symbols rolling in the different slot machines, there is no need to describe them as they are justsymbols with no deep meaning to them... An important point to note is that the chance of each symbol to show on the pay line isexactly the same as each of the other symbols has, they dont keep the good ones for special occasions... There are some special symbols that you should know about: Wild symbols - these symbols represent any symbol on the line that they appear on. Multiple payoff symbols - some machines have symbols that represent double payoffs, triple payoffs and even five times payoffs. There are also some very special (and very rare, you can be sure of that) symbols that provide a large jackpot payoff when hit.

Coin Play Values: You will find different machines for various budgets and different moods. There are machines that allow 5 cents, 25, 50, 1$, 5$, 25$, 100$ and up to a few 500$ machines! Most players prefer playing the modest, but fun non the less, range of 5 cents, to 5 dollar.

Maximum coin play: The number of coins you can use in one game varies from machine to machine, some machines can swallow up to eight coins each turn. The standard and most popular are the machines that take from two to five coins. In multiple Pay Line machines the number of coins inserted determines the number of lines paying, be sure to realize that and save yourself unnecessary disappointment!

Pay lines: Most slots have one pay line - the center line, that means that your winnings are determined according to the symbols appearing in the center line. Three liners are also very popular, in these machines winning symbols can be aligned on any of the three lines found behind the glass. If you are very lucky these three liners will line up winners on two or even three lines, and each one pays! Remeber this very important tip: three liners can take up to three coins, if you want to enjoy these machines fully you should play with three coins every spin. Each coin pays for a line, therefore if you insert only one coin you will receive the winnings of the center line - no more no less. Another variation is the five line slot machine. It is similar to the three liner but also has two additional, diagonal pay lines. To receive winnings from all five lines you must insert the maximum five coins.

Slot Machines are very reliable, they hardly ever miss or mistake while paying off. They may "tilt" or malfunction, but if that happens, you should call the attendant and she will always see that you are treated fairly and paid the correct amount.
